5/26 Beta Weighted Portfolio

Quite a discrepancy on the Beta Weighted portfolio Today, while RUT shows a positive ratio, DIA shows a negative one. I'm not sure which one is more accurate, so will keep on following both.

5/26 DIA Iron Butterfly

Now I understand why Dan Harvey says we need to leave the trade alone for the first week. We bonced right back to the center of the cone. I've adjusted on its way down, and am now paying for it.

On the bright side, I also see why he says it is a very forgiven strategy. Even with my adjustments, I'm still very close to B/E and have been able to keep Theta:Delta ratio in 1:1 for most of the days. Today is a bit of an exception as it 0.6.

5/26 RUT 30-Day Condor

Not a pleasant experience to have such a large move right after you enter a trade. I'm a few points from the first adjustment point. P&L hurt quite a bit Today.

5/26 MDY 30-Day Condor

Took a hit on P&L Today, however, the first defense is still far away, I'm hopping we stay around this level and stop jumping up, yet if it goes I'll be taking care of the deltas.

5/26 SPY Calendar

Started to show profits Today, 5% in a week, not bad, keep it up! Theta:Delta ratio is great.

5/26 RUT 50-Day Condor

The position is right in the middle, there is no way to exit, Delta is minimal, see the 1 st. deviation range till expiration is so far away from short strikes, will likely take it to expiration.

5/22 Beta-Weighted Portfolio

I started tracking the Beta-weighted portfolio using both DIA and RUT, as it seems to be a slight difference among the two. One way or another, the Theta:Delta ratio are good and I'll sure enjoy the weekend of theta flowing into my portfolio.

I'm also tracking the 1-hour charts on DIA and RUT to come up with short-term up-side and down-side targets. I post my technical analysis on the Technical Corner, this way I can see how those possibilities can impact the portfolio.
